Two portraits, one camera

A convincing AI portrait and a real photograph can look equally credible at a glance, so no single visual detail settles the question. Detection therefore combines two independent lines of evidence: visual cue checking, which looks for artifacts the generator left behind, and provenance verification, which asks where the file came from and whether its history is consistent. Because generators improve continuously, the absence of visible tells never proves an image is real; it only means the cue check found nothing.
